Nissan North America is deeply invested in the communities it serves and the people who inhabit them, which is why the automaker gives back at every chance it has. That’s why Nissan and Habitat for Humanity have teamed up for the past 15 years to build homes for people in need.
Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit organization that works to ease the housing affordability crisis for low-income individuals by creating a path to homeownership through sweat equity. Never shy of giving back to the community, Nissan has provided over 150 vehicles and hundreds of thousands of employee volunteer work hours in contributions that equate to over $18 million to the charity. This partnership, which is more important than ever in 2020, has helped 146 families realize the dream of homeownership.
The Vice President of Corporate and Cause Marketing Partnerships at Habitat for Humanity, Julie Laird Davis, expressed how important this multi-year alliance has been for families in need: “Nissan continues to actively show up for our communities and provides the core of what makes constructing a new Habitat home possible.”
