Four Nissan Models Earn IIHS TSP+ Awards

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety evaluates vehicles in six crashworthiness tests to determine safety ratings. After their performance in the IIHS testing, four 2022 Nissan models took home the agency’s highest rating — Top Safety Pick+. The Nissan Rogue, Murano, Maxima, and Altima are repeat winners of this high rating.

Nissan Safety Shield® 360

The 2022 Nissan Rogue, Murano, Maxima, and Altima all feature the Nissan Safety Shield® 360. The suite of six driver-assist technologies is standard on the Rogue, Murano, and Maxima, while it is standard on the SV trim and above in the Altima.

The technologies in the Shield include Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Rear Automatic Braking, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning, and High Beam Assist. Under proper conditions, these systems monitor threats in front, on the side, and behind you, alerting you to their presence so you can react in time. They even automatically engage the brakes to help you stop!

Lane Departure Warning helps you stay safely in your lane while High Beam Assist helps you take on the challenges of night driving without interfering with the safety of other drivers, under proper conditions.

Family-friendly options

In addition to their high safety rating and advanced driver-assist technologies, these Nissan models offer additional family-friendly features like spacious cabins, premium materials, and a user-friendly infotainment system that caters to you and your passengers’ connectivity and entertainment needs.
